The Internet is fascinating, isn’t it? It’s great to be able to use the Internet for all kinds of things like electronics, music, books . . . the list goes on and on!

Once in awhile you might look at a Internet travel site other than RESX, which is Internet based, to search for airfare. While on that other site, you might see exactly what you want to buy; however, you should buy the ticket using RESX. Some of the reasons to buy your ticket in RESX are:

  1. Your personal information is stored in your profile in RESX, making it easy and convenient.
  2. Our personal and professional service is available should you have to make changes.
  3. Your purchase will be on the travel reports Travel Leaders (formerly Conference & Travel) prepares for your company.
  4. To take advantage of Travel Leaders’ capability of voiding the ticket.*

The Best Way to get RESX to display a particular flight schedule.

Left window pane
When you know exactly which flight you want to purchase, select in the Time drop-down window (located in the left window pane) the closest time that matches the flight’s departure. For example, if the flight you want leaves the origin city at 7:08am, put 7:00am in the Time window for the outbound.

The same goes for the return flight: The flight you want leaves Sacramento at 1:23 pm, so put 1:00pm (or 1:30pm) in the Time window. (Picture at left.)

Now that you have your times in the Time drop-down, the next step is to make sure the Time Search Window –located in the right window pane–is set at 1 hrs (or 2 hrs) before clicking Search. This is because you want to “tighten” that search; you want RESX to “zoom in” on the flights you’re looking for. Your time is precious; setting your Time Search Window to 1 hrs or 2 hrs will save you from going through pages of options. Again, do this before clicking Search.

The Time Search Window is located on the profile page called Travel Preferences. When you initially login, the Travel Preferences page is conveniently in the right window pane so you can change your preferences “on the fly.”

Please let the RESX Team know if you have any questions. We hope this helps!

NOTE:  It’s the airline who prices flights. Not RESX, not Travel Leaders, not expedia.com, not any travel site.  Once the airline has chosen a fare/price, the airline updates these fares in all travel agency systems as well as in all Internet sites.

*Voiding a ticket:  We can void a ticket if it’s within a 24-hour window of the purchase date.
